What are chakras?

Chakras are energy centres in the body that correspond to different aspects of our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. The word "chakra" comes from the Sanskrit word for "wheel," and each chakra is  like a spinning wheel of energy.
There are seven main chakras, which are located along the spine. Each chakra is associated with a different colour, element, and emotion. The chakras are:

• Root chakra (red): Survival, security, and basic needs
• Sacral chakra (orange): Sexuality, creativity, and pleasure
• Solar plexus chakra (yellow): Personal power, self-esteem, and will
• Heart chakra (green): Love, compassion, and forgiveness
• Throat chakra (blue): Communication, self-expression, and truth
• Third eye chakra (indigo): Intuition, wisdom, and insight
• Crown chakra (purple): Spirituality, enlightenment, and connection to the divine

When the chakras are open and balanced, they allow energy to flow freely through the body. This promotes physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. However, if the chakras are blocked, energy can become stagnant, which can lead to physical, emotional, and spiritual problems.
There are many ways to unblock and balance the chakras, including yoga, meditation, and energy healing. You can also work with crystals, listen to music, or use essential oils that correspond to the chakras.
I often work with clients on this on a 121 basis and all this practical experience and learning is being consolidated into a self-access study course. This way, many more people can tap into what is happening in their bodies and how to shift their energy using practical techniques.
